At Westminster Seventh-day Adventist Church, we believe that true health is a vital part of spiritual well-being. Our Health Ministry is dedicated to promoting a wholistic lifestyle — one that nurtures the body, mind, and spirit in harmony with God's design.
Our Mission
We are committed to helping individuals and families experience the abundant life that comes from honoring God with our bodies. Through education, support, and hands-on activities, we encourage healthy habits rooted in biblical principles and modern science.
What We Promote:
🥦 Vegetarian Lifestyle
We believe that a plant-based diet is one of the most effective ways to prevent disease and promote vitality. Our ministry offers cooking classes, nutrition seminars, and recipe sharing to support those who are transitioning to or maintaining a vegetarian lifestyle.
💪 Proper Care for the Body
Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19–20), and we are called to care for them with intention and respect. We promote:

Community Services Ministry – Serving with Compassion
At Westminster Seventh-day Adventist Church, our Community Services Ministry is rooted in the belief that faith must be lived out through service. Guided by Christ’s example of love and compassion, we are committed to meeting the practical needs of our neighbors through a variety of outreach programs and support services.
Our Areas of Service Include:
📝 Free Income Tax Preparation – Annual Tax Clinic
Each year, we offer a Free Tax Clinic to help low-income individuals and families file their income taxes accurately and on time. Our trained volunteers provide confidential, friendly assistance to ensure every eligible household receives the benefits and credits they deserve.
🗣️ Free ESL Classes for New Immigrants
Moving to a new country is never easy — especially when language is a barrier. That’s why we offer free English as a Second Language (ESL) classes to help newcomers gain confidence, build communication skills, and better integrate into Canadian life. Classes are designed especially for those with little or no English proficiency.
🥫 Emergency Food Hampers
We understand that sometimes life gets difficult. Our Emergency Food Hamper Program provides essential groceries to individuals and families facing short-term crisis or food insecurity. Hampers are available upon request and through referral.
🧹 Community Clean-Up Events
We take pride in our neighborhood! Through seasonal Community Clean-Up Days, volunteers come together to beautify local streets, parks, and public spaces. It's a fun and impactful way to serve, connect, and care for the environment we all share.

Bread Ministry - Because We Care
At Westminster Seventh-day Adventist Church, we believe in caring for both the spiritual and physical needs of our community. That’s why we are excited to partner with COBS Bread in a compassionate outreach initiative: the Bread Ministry.
Through this partnership, fresh, quality bread is made available every Saturday from 12 noon to anyone in need — whether you're part of our church family or a member of the wider community. This ministry is more than just bread; it’s about sharing God’s love in practical ways, one loaf at a time.
